SM ‘Bears of Joy’ delights Isabelino kids

Hello everyone! How’s your week so far? I hope you are all doing great and fabulous! 🙂

so, here’s an out of the topic post from the usual fashion related post I always publish here, just to break the monotony and also because SHARING is CARING.

Cauayan City, Isabela (January 19, 2015) – SM City Cauayan delights around 172 children of Lingap Center, Center for Women and Children, Center for the Deaf and Agta community in Ilagan City with its ‘Bears of Joy’ Program today.

The ‘Bears of Joy’ program of SM Cauayan was launch last December 2014. It is with this program where shoppers can buy a pair of bear, keeping one for themselves and donating the other one to a chosen charitable institution or to the less fortunate children.

On this first year of ‘Bears of Joy’ Program in SM Cauayan, it was able to earn 381 bears to be donated by the mall to its chosen charitable institution and beneficiaries.

Today, headed by SM Cauayan Mall Manager Ian Ezekiel Balao and Assistant Mall Manager Sheila Marie Estabillo, staffs of the Mall Administration Office visited and turned-over the 172 pieces of ‘Bears of Joy’ to the children of Lingap Center, Center for Women and Children and Center for the Deaf.

The team also gave ‘Bears of Joy’ to an Agta Community in Cabisera 10, San Antonio, Ilagan City.

Chieftain Pokhang Diaz of the Agta Community, expressed their gratitude for the coming of SM Cauayan Team in their village. He thank the team for bringing joy to the children in his community through its ‘Bears of Joy’ program.

With this program, truly there’s a joy in giving. Each piece of bear wishes to draw a smile on each face, bring joy and make each recipient feel that SM cares for them.

Around 209 pieces more of ‘Bears of Joy’ are also to be turned-over to street children, orphans and indigent in Cauayan City within the week.

The SM ‘Bears of Joy’ is a project of SM Cares, a division of SM Foundation and the Corporate Social Responsibility arm of SM Prime Holdings, Inc. (PR)

“Sharing, forms a bridge between the sharers which can be the basis for understanding much of what is not shared between them, and lessens the threat of their difference.”
