Welcome to Callao Cave! 😀 Last summer, my brother invited me to join their summer adventure together with his friends and since I’m not doing anything, rather than bore myself watching movies all day and sleeping.. I decided to come with them and I didn’t regret it! hehe. This trip to Callao Cave was not really planned, it’s not part of our itinerary, our original plan was going to the beach which I already blogged about it (hot-spot: to infinity and beyond), then while on our way home, they just randomly thought of going to the cave since we still have time and money left.. and everyone agreed! lol5Callao Cave is a cave with seven chambers located on the Province of Cagayan, in the Philippines. It is one of the best known tourist attractions of the province. It is located in Peñablanca, near Tuguegarao City, the capital city of the Province of Cagayan. It is considered or one of the largest cave systems in the Philippines. The cave system features large chamber amounting to seven with magnificent large stalactites and stalagmites. You will have to climb close to 200 steps before witnessing the massive limestone and rock formations inside.637131014It has a natural cathedral located at the first chamber, which was turned into a chapel by the local people. 98The place draws a dramatic picture as the skylight illuminates hall through it’s opening and some natural holes which let light get into the cave, serving as illumination for the dark areas of the place.111518171612Aside from caving there also activities you can try on like wooden boat ride in the river passing through a bat cave, scenic rocky cliffs and picturesque river banks with crystal clear water ideal for swimming.979870_555200467876161_2103734785_o977465_555200691209472_352306692_o248267_552039181525623_1967236813_n22212019I really enjoyed this trip and I’m considering it the best summer ever I had. Can you please take me there again?936716_552039288192279_1363115638_napril. 🙂
